Study Guide
Committee DescriptionThis will be a committee scenario of two of World War II’s Allies’ cabinets, one being Winston Churchill’s War Ministry and the other being Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Presidential Cabinet. The cabinets will debate two different topics that relate to the Allied war effort, and one joint topic debated and negotiated simultaneously, but in different rooms (the resolutions of one committee will impact the actions of the other). The Dais of either committee will represent the leading figures (Churchill and Roosevelt) and will have a role in the decision making process. Resolutions in the American cabinet will be represented through drafting Executive Orders, and in the British cabinet through drafting Orders in Council. The last committee session will be a surprise crisis scenario, whose topic is yet to be decided, and will be debated by both cabinets in the same room.
