This year's BRAMUN has the theme: silence is the triumph of injustice. We live in a world with many problems and it is easy to try to ignore them and forget that they exist. Nonetheless, we must resist that urge and confront them.
To speak on that matter, our Guest Speaker at BRAMUN XVII is Mr. Niky Fabiancic. He is the current United Nations Coordinator-Resident in Brazil and Representative-Resident of the UNDP (The United Nations Development Programme). Mr. Fabiancic has been working for the United Nations for roughly 30 years, having held other positions such as United Nations Coordinator-Resident and Representative-Resident of the UNDP in Venezuela. He has also been Vice Regional Director and Vice Assistant Administrator of Latin America and the Caribbean. Mr. Fabiancic is of Argentine nationality and has a master in Computer Science and Telecommunications from the Brooklyn Polytechnic University and a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Mendoza.
