The Radical Civic Union, Unión Cívica Radical, is a political party that has been at the forefront of democratic values in Aregentinian politics since its creation. It is the party that has consistently opposed itself to all dictatorships and authoritarian manifestations of government, while being the pioneers of the radical democratic and liberal reforms that transformed Argentina into the nation it is today. With the upcoming election, the Radical Civic Union has once again the opportunity to contest the leadership of the nation in order to steer it away from populism, corruption and bring forward a prosperous and stable future for Argentina, saving it from another potential return to authoritarianism.
In this joint crisis committee, delegates will be able to relive the turbulent years of early 1970s Argentina. The committee will be composed of two cabinets, the cabinet of the Radical Civic Union and of the Justicialist Liberation Front, the two biggest political movements of the time, as they battle for control over power and the nation’s political institutions. The committee will be a full crisis committee, with delegates sending orders, personal directives, and with both cabinets being in constant interaction with each other, opposing and responding to one another's moves. The committee will be divided into two main phases, the first being the election phase, in which both parties will campaign for the presidency of Argentina, and the second phase, in which the winning party will occupy the Presidency of the nation and control over the executive, while the losing party will become the opposition, opposing the government’s measures in order to further its own political objectives. Meanwhile Argentina and the world will be in constant change, with updates and new events being released in a quick and constant manner, courtesy of the work of the first ever BRAMUN crisis management team.
Since this is a Crisis Cabinet, no topics will be made available before the conference.
