​​Applying for a Leadership Position at BRAMUN 2022

BRAMUN has a competitive Leadership Team application process, which is composed of the application and an interview that happens during this year's edition of the conference. If you're interested in applying for Secretary-General, Chief Operations Officer, Press Corps Director, Chair or Vice-Chair you've come to the right place. In order to apply for the BRAMUN 2022 Leadership team, one must submit the application below by a date that is going to be determined soon. Following this deadline, the applicants will receive the interview schedule at least a month prior to the conference.

Positions:

Secretary-General: The Secretary-General is responsible for the academic aspects of the conference. Besides mediating contact between advisors and the leadership team, the Secretary-General has to make sure everything that has to be done is completed before the conference. Some of the specific tasks of the Secretary-General include sending out invitations and conference forms, dividing delegation assignments among the attending schools and preparing and heading a chair retreat to organize the conference.  

Chief Operations Officer: The Chief Operations Officer is in charge of the logistical aspects of the conference. In addition to assisting the Secretary-General, the Chief Operations Officer has to guarantee to the greatest extent possible that the conference will run smoothly. Some specific tasks of the position include being responsible for the website, creating a mechanism of contact for the leadership team and foreseeing and preventing errors that might occur in the conference. 

Press Corps Director: The Press Corps Director has the role of organizing BRAMUN's media and journalism. More specifically, they will be responsible for building upon the current foundation of press corps, presenting a plan to the secretariat, and then taking the steps to implement that vision. 

Head Chair: The Chair will function as the leader of their committee, together with their Vice-Chairs they must ensure that during the conference the debate flows well and that parliamentary procedure is being observed (the latter might not be the case in Special Committees). In addition, Chairs will engage in a lot of pre-conference preparation. Their duties include the creation of a committee study guide, a committee video and providing suggestions to the Secretary-General and Chief Operations Officer in regards to the conference. 

Chair: Similarly to Head-Chairs, a Chair will participate in mediating debate in their committee and Guarantee the use of parliamentary procedure (again, the latter might not be the case in Special Committees). Moreover, Vice-Chairs will also engage in the creation of a study guide, committee video and giving feedback to the secretariat.
